Student Advisory Council
The Student Advisory Council includes the following:
- The President and Vice-President from each class.
- The President and Vice-President of SCAVMA.
- Student Senator.
- Associate Dean of Academic Affairs
The Student Advisory Council exists to provide a channel of communication between students, faculty and the Associate Dean’s Office. At least two meetings are scheduled each semester. A copy of the Constitution is available in the Academic Affairs Office.
STUDENT CHAPTER OF THE AMERICAN VETERINARY MEDICAL ASSOCIATION
The purpose of the NCSU Student Chapter of the AVMA is to acquaint students with the functions of the AVMA, to encourage friendship between the various classes and faculty, to broaden the students’ perspective of the veterinary profession and other fields of interest, and to stimulate the development of professional attitudes. A copy of the Constitution is available in the Academic Affairs Office.
SOCIETY OF PHI ZETA
The name of this organization at NCSU is the Psi Chapter of the Society of Phi Zeta. The object of this Society is to recognize and promote scholarship and research in matters pertaining to the welfare and disease of animals. A copy of the By-Laws is available in the Academic Affairs Office.
