The Biomedical Imaging Resource Facility (BIRF) is an integral part of North Carolina State University. The Facility's mission is to explore new and innovative methods of biomedical research using state-of-the-art imaging facilities and to facilitate technology transfer between medical schools and private industry using state-of-the art-imaging as a standard for experimental design.

BIRF offers advanced, innovative, and comprehensive medical imaging services for CROs, pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, and principle investigators to support pre-clinical investigational trials.
