Diagnostic Radiology

BIRF's diagnostic radiology facilities consist of three standard radiology rooms with 1000mA, 150 kVp capabilities, as well as two fluoroscopic suites.

About Fluoroscopy: Fluoroscopy provides quantum limited, high definition, digital viewing of structures and the function of some organs inside the body. An example would be the viewing of the lower intestine after the patient has ingested barium. Many minimally invasive treatments such as balloon angioplasty, and neuroembolizations are also possible because of the use of x-ray fluoroscopy.
