Nuclear Medicine
Nuclear medicine
scans provide information on the function of the body's organs. A small amount
of radioactive material is taken into the body through injection or inhalation.
As the radioactive material decays, the gamma camera records the information and
provides an image.
Picker PRISM 3000XP Triple Head Gamma Camera
The Picker Prism
3000XP Triple Head Gamma Camera provides a 400mm x 240mm field-of-view and
acquires up to three times more SPECT data than the conventional gamma camera in
the same amount of time. The PRISM 3000XP can perform planar imaging, including
cardiac gated studies and includes collimators in all energy ranges up to 511
KeV.
