Research Area:
Research is currently focused on studying the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of novel drugs for the treatment of equine cardiopulmonary disease. Laboratory equipment includes a Buxco pulmonary function testing system for performance of classical pulmonary mechanics and a Scientific Solutions pulmonary function testing system for performance of forced oscillatory pulmonary mechanics. Research is funded by pharmaceutical companies and the state of North Carolina.
