Services and Fees
Recruitment
$25.00 per hour
This fee includes the advertising for and recruiting of patients for clinical studies.
Sample Collection
$30.00 for tumors and organ biopsies
$15.00 for other samples - blood and urine collections, aspirates, etc.
$5.00 for each additional sample taken on same visit from same donor
These fees include
- Identification of an appropriate donor and scheduling of patients for sample collection
- Supplies required for common sample collection procedures (blood and urine collection, aspirates, etc.)
- Preparation and preservation of the sample (for example, centrifuge EDTA preserved blood and aliquot plasma into cryovials)
- A brief report of patient characteristics and interventions
Sample Retrieval
$15.00 per sample
This fee applies to samples that were prospectively banked by the CSC and is charged in addition to the collection fee. For example, an investigator wishing to purchase a tissue sample that was previously collected by CSC personnel would pay $30 (tissue collection fee) + $15 (sample retrieval fee) = $45
Sample Storage
$1.00 per cryovial per year at -80°C
$3.00 per cryovial per year in liquid nitrogen
CSC personnel will aliquot samples into barcoded cryovials and retain related data.
Clinical Examination
$20.00
This fee includes appointment scheduling and assistance by a technician for patient examination, up to 45 minutes in length. Examinations requiring additional time will be billed at a rate of $25 per hour.
Clinical Examination + Sample Collection
$30 for first sample (60 minutes)
$5.00 each additional sample on same visit
This fee includes a clinical examination as described above, retrieval of laboratory results and routing these results to the investigators.
Additional procedures, data analysis, data entry, patient follow-up, or sample processing
$25 per hour
This fee includes any work performed for a clinical study by a technician in excess of services described above.
Veterinary Assistance
$75 per hour
This fee applies to any work performed by the Clinical Studies Core veterinarian. Assistance is available for advanced sample collection procedures, clinical examinations, etc.
