Fish Health Management
October 9 - 11, 2008

The Purpose of the Course
To familiarize the participant with the fundamental principles of ornamental fish and aquatic invertebrates management and medicine. This course is open to veterinarians and non-veterinarians alike.

The Goals of this Course
To teach the principles and provide details on the following topics: water quality, recirculating aquatic systems, diagnostic techniques, environmental diseases, infectious diseases, neoplasia, therapeutics, anesthesia, and analgesia.


Registration

Tuition for this course is $495 before September 1, 2008, and $595 after September 1, 2008. ($249/$349 for students), which includes all lectures and labs, a proceedings manual, and all meals. A full refund will be granted for notices in writing, either by mail, fax or e-mail, by October 1, 2008. After October 1, there will be a 25% cancellation fee. Location & Lodging

This course will be held at the NC State Center for Marine Sciences and Technologies at 303 College Circle in Morehead City, NC. We have a block of rooms reserved at the Hampton Inn Morehead City. Please call 252-240-2300 and reference the Fish Course. The room rate is $99. Reservations must be made by September 8, 2008, to guarantee the room rate.

Continuing Education
This course offers 24 hours of continuing veterinary medical education for
veterinarians and veterinary technicians.
