Saturday, April 12, 2008 The main objective of this course is to enhance awareness of the ethical aspects and economical benefits of clinical nutrition in veterinary practice. This day-long nutrition program is a full-spectrum approach to applied veterinary clincial nutrition which will provide veterinarians with the tools to optimize patient care and management through appropriate nutritional support. You will take away:
- Simple through advanced venues by which to increase practice revenue through nutrition support
- A basic, organized approach to the Nutritional Assessment and Nutrition Support Plan for patients
- Skills to evaluate any diet label (packaging) and to compare/contrast diets
- Guidelines for developing feeding and follow-up protocols for disease prevention and disease management
- Resources for addressing homemade diet issues and other nutritional concerns
It may be helpful to bring a calculator and specific cases/concerns regarding nutritional support and/or basic nutritional support questions. |

Registration
Registration for this course is $75 paid before March 31, 2008, and $100 paid after March 31. Registration includes lectures, lunch, and a proceedings manual. A registration form is available here. |
