Small Animal Ultrasound Series 2008

Program Overview
The program on Small Animal Abdominal Ultrasound is designed to give veterinarians and veterinary technicians experience with diagnostic ultrasound. The lectures will focus on various abdominal organs as well as examples of abnormal cases.

This course will provide lecture and hands-on laboratories for practitioners who wish to become more competent at abdominal ultrasonography in the small animal patient. It will provide a solid foundation in ultrasound physics, anatomy and a large number of case examples. In addition, this course is designed to allow hands-on experience for the practitioner under the tutelage of experienced ultrasonographers.

Registration Fees

  • March 29 & 30, 2008

These are two-day courses; one-day registrations are not available. The fees include continental breakfasts, breaks, lunches and proceedings (printed and on CD-ROM). Enrollment for each course is limited to 30 attendees, so early registration is recommended. A refund less a 25% administrative fee will be granted for notices received in writing, either by mail, fax, or e-mail, by the day before the course. No refunds will be granted after the course has begun.

Location & Lodging
These courses will be held at the NC State College of Veterinary Medicine at 4700 Hillsborough Street in Raleigh, NC. Blocks of rooms have been reserved at the Comfort Suites Arena, 1200 Hurricane Alley Way, at the rate of $84.99 (plus tax) per night. If you are flying to the course, you may request shuttle service   to the CVM from the hotel. The hotel is located 1.5 miles from the CVM. To make hotel reservations, call 919-854-0502 and reference the Ultrasound Course block. The local airport is Raleigh-Durham International (RDU), which is approximately ten miles from the CVM. Hotel reservations must be made by three weeks prior to the course date to receive the discounted rate.
Continuing Education
These courses offer 15 hours each of continuing veterinary medical education for veterinarians and veterinary technicians. Full attendance is required to receive total CVME credit.
