Personal Counseling

Students and others from the CVM community may experience a wide variety of personal concerns related to depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, abuse, anger, stress and other issues. The Counseling Services Office is a safe place to explore these issues and develop ways to better cope with problems that arise from life experiences. Counseling services are usually short-term in nature; if an off-campus referral is needed for longer-term or more intensive therapeutic assistance, the Clinical Counselor will assist the client with identifying appropriate referrals.

Please note that for faculty and staff, only short-term assistance/intervention is offered through the Counseling Services Office because an employee assistance program is available. More information about the employee assistance program can be found at: http://www2.acs.ncsu.edu/hr/fsap.html
