Andrea Thomson, RVT
Andrea Thomson has worked as a registered veterinary technician since 1990. Her career goal is to help find ways to assess and alleviate pain in animals. For animals used in research, making their lives the best possible while they are here helping science, is top priority.
In the laboratory, her position includes research on feline osteoarthritis and running clinical trials. Her duties also include accelerometer collection and data manipulation, Noldus Ethovision tracking software and Observer behavior software, behavior testing, collecting cerebrospinal fluid, making analgesia catheters, and running the lab.
She is an NCSU alumni. Her interests are eating, the outdoors, animals of all types, friends, family, travel, outdoors and music. She lives in Cary with her husband, sons, cats, dog, tortoises, snakes, and fish.
