Venita earned her B.S. in Statistics from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, followed by her Master of Statistics from North Carolina State University. In addition to her work as a statistician with the laboratory team, she enjoys working as a biostatistician at a local contract research organization. She is also currently pursuing her doctorate in Biomathematics at NCSU, with a dissertation focus on Streptococcus pneumoniae infections.
She enjoys spending time with her son Jonathan, husband, and cats in Apex. She loves good food, good books, and good company, and is continually amazed that 4 out of 3 people don't understand statistics.
