Research Area

In general: Investigational and minimally invasive treatment modalities (surgical techniques, drug delivery methods and biomedical implants).

Current projects:

  • Xenogeneic ratite cancellous bone graft: effects on avian fracture healing.
  • Biomechanical evaluation of canine arytenoid cartilage/suture constructs.
  • Histologic evaluation of the diaphragm, vagus and phrenic nerves in dogs with Gastric Dilatation Volvulus.
  • Evaluation of an ipsilateral ulnar autograft for limb-sparing following distal radial resection.
  • Evaluation of mechanical vs thermally induced juvenile pubic symphysiodesis in dogs.
  • Cyclosporine pharmacokinetics and cyclosporine sparing agents.
  • Sonomicrometry applications for small animal surgery.
