Professional Experience
After graduation, Stephen worked briefly in industry at Becton-Dickinson Technologies with their Drug Delivery Group.
In February 1999, Stephen joined the Human Vaccine Institute at
the Duke University Medical Center, where the research focused on HIV
vaccine development.
Stephen joined the Immunoparasitology Laboratory (of Dr. Bruce Hammerberg) in March of 2002, the laboratory's research focus is in allergic diseases and nematode biology. Stephen provides daily support and maintenance of the laboratory. He is trained in various laboratory techniques including: cell culture, recombinant protein expression, molecular biology, protein biochemistry and immunological measurement of proteins.
