LAR CONTACTS, DUTIES, AND FACILITIES
- A Gnotobiotic Unit for producing and maintaining germ-free animals (LAR Assistant Manager)
- Technical assistance with experimental procedures and animal transport and handling contact the LAR Assistant Manager.
- Veterinary Assistance, ordering medications (anesthetics, analgesics and other drugs), and contracting post-op care and monitoring (contact LAR Vet Assistant)
- Animal ordering, billing, or assistance with preparation of grant budgets relative to animal care (LAR Office)
- Experimental surgery and anesthesia support, and short-term procedure space (Central Procedures Laboratory)
- Research animal health and veterinary care consultation (LAR Assistant Director)
- Assistance with preparation of the IACUC Application for Vertebrate Animal Use (LAR Director, or any other LAR veterinarian)
- Consultation on any aspect of laboratory animal medicine or the resources available through LAR, including animal welfare concerns and complaints (LAR Director)

- Consultation on the animal model, alleviation of pain or distress, and assistance with protocol preparation: any LAR veterinarian
- Logistics of animal husbandry (caging, space availability, etc.), including assistance in preparation of specialized SOPs: LAR Facilities Manager
- Logistics of Technical support: LAR Assistant Manager or CPL Manager
- Budgetary considerations (animal purchase, per diem rates, and other charges, technical services): LAR Administrative Assistant
