CVM Achieve! Goal Surpassed

Randall B. Terry

The grand total for the College of Veterinary Medicine’s contribution to the North Carolina State University’s Achieve! Campaign is . . . $95,625,288, an amount that exceeds the goal of $50 million by 191%.

The CVM total includes the largest single private gift in the history of NC State University—$20 million from the R.B. Terry Charitable Foundation to help establish the Randall B. Terry, Jr. Companion Animal Veterinary Medical Center. The Foundation has also issued a challenge grant which will match donations to the Terry Center.

Achieve! raised more than $1.3 billion for NC State, making the fund-raising effort the university’s most successful capital campaign. The giving total places the university among an elite group of academic institutions that have surpassed the $1 billion mark. More than 66,000 individual, private, and corporate donors contributed during the seven-year campaign and the donations are underwriting research and educational innovation on campus, as well as extension, engagement, and economic development efforts across the state and around the world.
