Jessica Briley (Class 2015) is the recipient of the inaugural Phi Zeta Challenge Award presented by the NC State University's College of Veterinary Medicine Psi Chapter of Phi Zeta. Briley will use the $1,500 award to help support her participation in the University of Tennessee certificate program in canine physical rehabilitation for veterinarians which allows veterinary students to begin the program while still enrolled in the veterinary curriculum.
Briley has a keen interest in the neurobiology and management of pain in small animals, and this program will complement her extracurricular training. Her goal is to begin the program courses in the fall of 2013, and complete the certificate exam in June 2015 after her licensure.
