The North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine has 106 tenure-track faculty members that teach, provide clinical service and conduct basic and clinical research. Many of the faculty hold multiple advanced degrees in addition to being diplomates of various clinical specialty boards. Several faculty have joint or adjunct appointments in other colleges at NCSU, and some are adjunct faculty at Duke University. The College has more than 30 adjunct faculty from other departments at NCSU, from biomedical research agencies in Research Triangle Park, and from the medical schools at UNC-Chapel Hill and Duke University.
