College of Veterinary Medicine Visitors
The College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) welcomes faculty, veterinary practitioners, house officers, volunteers and students from other organizations to visit the Veterinary Health Complex (VHC) or other areas of the College as a way to share information and promote the growth of the veterinary profession.

The CVM offers tours for prospective applicants and accompanying guests at regularly-scheduled times throughout the year. Tour schedules, parking details, and additional information is available.
Educational/Admissions tours for middle, high school and college-level groups related to animal science, health professions, 4-H clubs, pre-vet clubs, etc. are available upon arrangement. Please click for information on what group tours involve and how to arrange them.
Undergraduate and High School Student Visitors
In order to accept a visitor request, a faculty or staff sponsor must be arranged prior to submitting an application.
The externship program is open to current DVM students in their clinical year of study in good standing at US or international veterinary colleges. For clinical rotation calendars, a list of services, and information about the program, please click the above link.
In addition to graduate and professional degrees, the college offers a wide variety of internship and residency programs for specialized clinical training.

The Office of Continuing Education and Outreach offers a Visiting Clinician Program for North Carolina veterinarians, other domestic veterinarians, and international veterinarians.
