The American College of Veterinary Behaviorists (ACVB) has written a new book, Decoding Your Dog, to help dog owners better understand their canine companions and to help overcome common behavior problems. Chapters are written by diplomates of the ACVB. Dr. Barbara Sherman, past president of the ACVB and director of the NCSU Behavioral Medicine Service, wrote the Preface, and Victoria Stillwell wrote the Forward. The book is available on line and in bookstores everywhere. A description of the book can be found on the Wall Street Journal Blog: http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2013/12/30/how-to-decode-what-your-dog-is-saying-to-you/.
“Kudos to the Veterinary Behaviorists! Decoding Your Dog is a welcome addition to the voices supporting science-based and benevolent dog training. Read this book and your dog will thank you for it!”
—Patricia B. McConnell, PhD, CAAB, author of The Other End of the Leash: Why We Do What We Do Around Dogs
